In order to ensure the safety of people and goods inside 42, the Association 42 has placed several surveillance cameras on site.
The present Terms of Use set the conditions on how the data provided by the video surveillance can be used by Association 42 and on informing persons on the processing characteristics and rights pertaining to their personal data.
Association 42 vows to use the video surveillance system inside 42 in accordance with applicable law, and notably in accordance with the European Regulation 2016/679 on Data Protection (RGPD), the Education Code, the Civil Code, and the Penal Code.
Video surveillance cameras are placed in several locations within 42.
In accordance with applicable law, cameras are set up to cover entrances and circulation spaces only.
In no event shall the cameras record living spaces or workspaces of staff and students.
The entity in charge of the data coming from the video surveillance equipment is Association 42, headquartered at 96 boulevard Bessières - 75017 Paris FRANCE.
The video surveillance equipment inside 42 is destined to ensure the security of people and goods present in 42.
It functions as a deterrent but also to identify individuals who have committed acts that may constitute violations of law within 42.
The processing of data recorded by the video surveillance equipment rests on the legitimate interest of Association 42 to ensure the security of people and goods, in accordance with 6.1.f of the GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation).
Video surveillance cameras function twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week, all year long.
Images coming from the video surveillance system are retained for a period of two weeks.
In case of incident on the security of people and goods, the video surveillance images can be extracted.
They are then stored on another medium for the duration of procedures pertaining to this incident and are accessible only to the individuals in charge of these procedures.
Images can be visualized, in case of incident, by the registered individuals of Association 42, namely the staff in charge of security and law enforcement.
The individuals of Association 42 in charge of maintenance can also access these images, in that scope only.
In all cases, only registered individuals can have access to data coming from the video surveillance equipment. Access to this data is protected by security measures ensuring the security and confidentiality of data.
Besides the present Terms of Use, information of data subjects concerning the use of video surveillance inside 42 is governed by the Rules of Procedure of 42 and by the display of dedicated panels at the entrance and in rooms of 42.
Data subjects can have access to data that concerns them or ask for erasure. They also have the right to object and the right to restrict processing (see www.cnil.fr for more information on these rights).
